First of all, thank you for your interest and comments.
The added value of this proposal is both for the employee and for the company. The employee side is easy to understand, meaning an extra week in a specific destination, added interaction with peers, etc... The added value for the company, is having employees that can benefit from the fact that We are a Global company, and it's another tool to help retain employees. As a side information, there are currently other companies with similar programs in place.
As for your concern about being in a market so different, that there's no relation with one's reality/work, I really am a strong believer that we can always learn something, even if what you can only bring back home are best practices in a specific market/reality for example. Even if this is not the major selling point for my idea, this is really something that can be capitalized in everyone's work environment.
