Meeting Summary
This will be a great tool for the pre-boarding and on-boarding process for the new hires as well as existing employees who move from one position to another (within function or cross functional). I am sure the team working on the idea would have also considered the 'Buddy' assignment part of the solution/app. we have implemented an Employee and Line Manager's 'On-boarding Check-list' which they try to maintain but it has been a struggle. Would you like to talk to the Talent Acquisition team here in to learn from the experience and then maybe see if the Application can have features in it to address those particular on-boarding or maybe the local team would be able to learn from your experiences.
Solution Assessment
It's a good idea but I'm not willing to pay a fruit a day to the campus our staff all year round. You can count EUR 0.72 per person or 720 EUR/day (based on 1000 people attending either the mess or the sandwich shop). That's an expenditure of 177 kEUR/year (base - 246 days per year). This is not insignificant.
